Please be aware that on September 1st, the registration / renewal / transfer rates for the .COM TLD increased by 7% due to a new contract Verisign signed with ICANN and the US government for running the .COM TLD (top level domain) service at the start of 2020. In response to this rate hike, we need to raise our .COM registration fees to $11.95/year. We will be raising this rate in two weeks - effective on September 20th - to give everyone one last chance to renew their registrations at the old rate. Please also note that the contract signed last year allows Verisign to increase .COM registration rates by 7% a year in 8 of the next 10 years (including this one). Therefore, you can expect .COM registration rates to increase at this time every year (except for 2024 and 2025). You therefore may want to extend your domain up to the max time (10 years) to lock in the maximum savings.
Feel free to contact us via our support desk if you have any questions about this price hike for .COM domains and we'll be happy to assist you.
